Welcome to Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribal Health. It is an honor to serve the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe and the community that places its trust in the Tribal Health Center. Our mission is rooted in a simple but powerful vision: Honoring Beliefs. Improving Patient Lives.

Over the past several years, the Tribal Health Center has grown into a comprehensive healthcare organization. We have expanded access to care, strengthened our workforce, invested in technology, and just broke ground to construct a New Wellness Center. These accomplishments reflect the dedication of Tribal leadership, our employees, providers, patients, families, and community partners working together toward a common goal.

We have expanded programs that support physical, mental, spiritual, and community wellness through successful grant funding. This includes diabetes education and prevention services through the Special Diabetes Program for Indians (SDPI), behavioral health and substance use programs supported by SAMHSA, and innovative healthcare initiatives funded through Rural Health Transformation grants.

Our role is one of service. We are honored to walk alongside the community, providing compassionate care, supporting healthier lives, and serving as responsible stewards of the resources entrusted to us.

The Tribal Health Center provides a wide array of health and wellness services specifically for American Indians and Alaska Natives. Anyone eligible as a patient with the Indian Health Service (IHS) can receive care at our facility.

We are committed to promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being through a holistic healthcare approach. By integrating traditional healing methods with modern medical practices, the Tribal Health Center aims to honor cultural heritage while delivering comprehensive care. Our emphasis on community outreach and educational programs empowers individuals and families with the knowledge and resources necessary for healthier living.

Our Commitment

The Tribal Health Center is dedicated to delivering high-quality healthcare to our patients. We provide patient-centered services in an outpatient setting. Our extensive range of services include diagnosis, observation, consultation, treatment, intervention, and rehabilitation. In accordance with 42 CFR Section 136, we extend our services to all IHS-eligible Native American individuals. This includes those of lineal descent living on or near the Flandreau Santee Sioux Reservation (Moody County) as well as students attending the Flandreau Indian School.
