    Our Provider's Team works closely with the Nursing department and other medical professionals to guarantee that our patients receive the utmost quality of care. We believe effective communication and teamwork are essential in creating a nurturing environment where patients feel valued and understood.     Our Nursing Department provides on-site services including primary care, same-day services, wound care, IV therapy, and special injections.

    Dr. John Sivesind and his assistant Peggy are available to conduct eye exams every Wednesday at the Health Center. Bridget, Optician is available Monday - Friday, during regular business hours.

    The pharmacy is located in the Health Center for easy access and features a drive-through window for prescription pickups. Our Pharmacy and drive-through are open during regular business hours. Call us at 605-573-0245 to speak to our Pharmacy team, or for more information.

    Staff are licensed by the South Dakota State Board of Pharmacy and offer consultation services on medication adherence, side effects, and drug interactions. 

    Services available:

    Request medication refills by calling our automated refill line 605-573-0245. You can also message Pharmacy staff directly and securely through the app Rx Local.

    • Accepts prescriptions via e-prescribing (e-Rx) from outside providers.

     

    • Ask the Pharmacy team about how to sign up for text notifications when your prescription is ready.

     

    • Please allow 2-3 business days for prescription refills to be processed.

     

    • Medication Disposal: We collaborate with the State Board of Pharmacy to safely dispose of expired or unused medications. A "Pharma Drop" receptacle is available in the indoor Pharmacy lobby.

    Physical Therapy (PT) assists patients with chronic illnesses or disabilities in engaging in safe and effective exercise programs. Participating in Physical Therapy can lead to lower blood sugar and blood pressure levels, enhance mobility, improve daily functioning, and alleviate pain. If you believe you could benefit from Physical Therapy, please consult your healthcare provider for a referral.

    Nick joins the SDPI Team to offer non-surgical management for diabetic patients, including footwear and therapeutic support. Patients must receive diabetic care and obtain a referral from the Tribal Health Center provider. For more information, contact your provider.
